Zach LaVine Wins 2015 NBA Dunk Contest

Timberwolves rookie Zach LaVine was the most anticipated participant in the 2015 NBA Sprite Slam Dunk Contest. The kid from Seattle made a name for himself through his incredible leaping ability. On All-Star Saturday Night, the brightest stage of all, LaVine lived up to the expectations.

LaVine defeated Magic guard Victor Oladipo in the final round to become the 2015 Slam Dunk Contest Champion. Oladipo threw down a never before seen 540 dunk in the first round, it had everyone in the arena buzzing.

LaVine scored a perfect 50 with his opening between the legs reverse jam, and followed it up with a beautiful behind-the-back jam off the toss. The one-foot jumper went onto throw down two more between the legs reverse jams to take the crown home.

His head was at the rim on every dunk. Check out the hangtime on the around the back.

Congrats to LaVine on the big win. We’ll be looking forward to watching him put the title on the line in Toronto next year.
