Wesley Matthews Tears Achilles, Out For The Season

The Trail Blazers took a big blow on Thursday night as their starting shooting guard, Wesley Matthews, tore his left Achilles tendon during the third quarter of the Blazers 94-75 win over the Mavericks.

The team announced that Matthews will miss the remainder of the 2014-15 season.

The 28-year old came into Thursday nights game averaging 16.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. This is a devastating moment for Matthews and a huge loss for the Blazers.

We wish Wesley a speed recovery, and hope that he can comeback better than ever next season.
