WATCH: Rajon Rondo Records 25 Assists vs Nets

Rajon Rondo reminded us all why the Pelicans signed him this offseason as he turned in a historical performance by recording 25 assists in a win over the Nets. With Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins combining for 60 points, Rondo didn’t need to do anything but drop dimes. The former All-Star became the first point guard since Jason Kidd in 1996 to record 25 + assists in a game. Rondo also set the new all-time franchise single game assists record which was previously held by Chris Paul. What was most impressive about this performance was that it was done in just 30 minutes of action. The Pelicans are not a team anyone in the West wants to see, especially if they’re firing on all cylinders like this. Check out the highlights above.
