VIDEO: Patrick Beverley on Guarding Lonzo Ball ‘Welcome His Young Ass to the NBA’

Lonzo Ball made his much anticipated NBA debut last night, putting up just 3 points on 1-for-6 shooting, grabbing 9 rebounds and dishing out 4 assists in the Lakers 108-92 loss to the Clippers. The talk of the night was how the Clips new guard Patrick Beverley shut Zo down in his NBA debut, literally pushing him around during the game. Known to get under players skin, Beverley picked Ball up 94 feet and got in his ear throughout the game. Weeks after saying he was looking forward to guarding him, the defensive specialist made it a point to try and bully the 19-year-old.

After the game Beverley talked about guarding the ultra hyped point guard and told the media he wanted “welcome his young ass to the NBA”. ESPN’s Marc Spears also reported that Pat walked into the locker room screaming “weak a*s motherf***er out. Bring him out on the court with me and I will tear his a*s up” after the game.
