VIDEO: Isaiah Thomas Drops 17 Points in Cavs Debut

Isaiah Thomas made his much anticipated debut for the Cavs on Tuesday night against the Blazers and put up a solid performance. After a week of scrimmaging in practices, IT came into the game on a minute restriction, but it looked like he performed better than expected. Thomas was aggressive in the 19 minutes he played, finishing with 17 points and 3 assists. Aside from the actual performance, it was nice to see the All-Star guard moving around sharply. With IT’s attack first mentality the Cavs now have what they were missing so far this season in another shot creator. This is a team that was able to reach the NBA Finals three straight times with Kyrie Irving’s incredible scoring ability putting pressures on defenses all game, thus taking the attention off LeBron James. Isaiah averaged 29 points per game last year and is one of the best shot creators in the league so you know the Cavs just got that much more dangerous.
