Toronto Raptors Waive Point Guard D.J. Augustin

Less than 24 hours removed from trading star player Rudy Gay, the Toronto Raptors have waived point guard D.J. Augustin according to Marc J. Spear of Yahoo! Sports, the move was actually made to make move for the Rudy Gay deal to get through. Raptors GM Masari Ujri is making some big moves and it is looking like they are clearing space to get another star and land Andrew Wiggins in the 2014 Draft.

Augustin played in just 10 games for the Raptors, he averaged 2.1 ppg and 1.0 apg. His $1.2 million contract will remain on the Raptors salary cap.
