Team USA Dominates Serbia To Win 2014 FIBA World Cup

Congratulations to Team USA on winning the 2014 FIBA World Cup. USA went undefeated in the tournament and dominated Serbia 129–92 in the gold medal game. This marks back-to-back titles for the US.

Team USA’s firepower was just too much for this Serbian squad, they came out focused in the final and put up their best performance of the tournament. Kyrie Irving who was named the MVP of the 2014 FIBA World Cup led the way with 26 points, he went 6-6 from 3-point range. James Harden finished with 23 points and six other players finished in double figures for the US.

Coach K and Jerry Colangelo have done a tremendous job of putting together the right team and changing the culture these past few years in order to solidify USA as the most dominant country in the world. USA wins the gold without Kevin Durant, Paul George, Blake Griffin or Kevin Love on the squad, that says a lot.

Pau Gasol, Kenneth Faried, Kyrie Irving, Nicholas Batum and Milos Teodosic were named to the All-Star team for the tournament.

Kyrie Irving was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2014 FIBA World Cup.
