Back in 2006, then Knicks point guard Stephon Marbury did something really cool when he released a dope signature sneaker which retailed for only $15.
This was done to make the shoe affordable for kids all around the world who can’t afford an expensive signature sneaker. It actually sold pretty well, but with Marbury’s run in the NBA coming to a close the project kind of drifted away.
Since then the legendary point guard has reached God-like status in China. Marbury took the CBA to new heights and has won multiple championships there and is still playing at a very high level.
This week the former All-Star announced on his Instagram that the Starbury is coming back. No price has been revealed but we’re assuming it’s going to be a huge hit in China and retail for around the same in North America.
The sneaker is actually really nice too. Check it out below.
