Russell Westbrook Goes Off For 48 Pts, 11 Asts, 9 Rebs and 4 Stls vs Pelicans

Russell Westbrook followed up a huge 45 point performance against the Magic by turning in the best stat line of his career with a 48 point, 11 assist, 9 rebound and 4 steal performance against the Pelicans on Friday night.

It was a beastly game by the freakishly athletic guard. If he is knocking down the outside jumper, he is the most unstoppable guard, if not player, in the NBA.

Westbrook’s big night was spoiled by Anthony Davis’s game winning 3-pointer at the buzzer which led the Pelicans to a 116-113 victory.

The explosive guard has been on a tear in the past few weeks but the Thunder are slowly moving out of the playoff picture with every loss. The Thunder’s confidence could be sinking, especially after this one as Westbrook’s career-high 48 couldn’t get the job done.
