REPORT: Cavs Players ‘Grumbled’ About LeBron James Holding Onto To The Ball Till He Sees An Assist

It isn’t hard to tell that frustration is building up within the Cavs organization. During last nights 34 point loss to the Raptors, a furious LeBron James was literally shouting at teammates in a huddle during the second quarter. In what was the second straight blowout loss for the Cavs, it’s clear that the team is lacking a defensive effort. Yes, it’s just the regular season for LeBron and company, but this doesn’t look like a team that could challenge the Warriors at all during the NBA Finals right now.

Tyronn Lue stated that guys on the squad need to stop worrying about their personal agendas on the court in order for them to break this losing skid and another report came out from suggesting that Cavs players are low-key frustrated about LeBron holding onto the ball till he sees an opportunity for an assist.

Told of Lue’s suggestion, LeBron James said “I would hope not.”

“I don’t have one. I just want to win,” he said. “I just like playing ball the right way, getting guys involved and winning the game also. I don’t (have an agenda).”

Players have grumbled that James has slowed the ball movement, holding onto the ball until he sees an “assist” pass, rather than moving it quickly.
