R.J. Barrett Announces That He Will Attend Duke University

Ontario native R.J. Barrett, who is widely considered the best high school basketball player in the world, made his college decision today on Sportscentre in Canada. The 6-foot-7 forward from Mississauga has announced that he will attend Duke University. Barrett led Team Canada to the U19 Gold Medal this past summer in Egypt and despite being one of the youngest players in tournament he put up 21.6 points and 8.3 rebounds per game en route to MVP honors. Barrett’s father Rowan played for Team Canada in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, he was teammates with Steve Nash, who is also R.J’s godfather. R.J., who is also fluent in French, is expected to be go number one overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. The Blue Devils get a special talent and an even better person.
