Michael Porter Jr. To Sign With Missouri Tigers

When the Washington Huskies fired head coach Lorezno Romar last week, the first name that came to mind was Michael Porter Jr. In a move that would change the landscape of college basketball in 2017-18, the best high school player in the world asked for his release from the program.

The ultra-versatile forward moved all the way from Missouri to Seattle for his senior year of basketball. He led Nathan Hale to a historic undefeated season and the Washington State tile. Every basketball fan in the Northwest was excited to have Porter at UW.

However, this morning MPJ officially announced that he is headed back and will play for the University of Missouri this fall. This announcement comes just one day after Missouri hired Porter’s father as the assistant coach of the team.

Glory to God! 🙏🏼 #Tigers 🐯
