Michael Beasley: ‘Talent-Wise, I Match Up With Durant and LeBron’

Michael Beasley came into the league projected to be a superstar one day. Drawing comparisons to Carmelo Anthony and being a rival of fellow DMV native Kevin Durant, Beasley had the skill-set to carry a franchise on his back. He’s been in and out the league for the past few years but his confidence remains at an all-time high. With the Knicks in rebuild mode and Beasley expected to be one of the core pieces for the new-look squad, he will finally have a green light to showcase his talents that had the nation buzzing back in 2008. Despite the rough journey to this point, “Be-Easy” still believes that offensively he’s no different from LeBron and KD. Via Bleacher Report:

“It’s mostly perception. As far as talent-wise, I match up with Kevin [Durant], LeBron, I match up with the best guys in the world,” Beasley says.

“I’m not being cocky; it’s just always how I felt. But I got into trouble as soon as I got into the NBA, and it left a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths.”
