Michael Beasley Agrees To Deal With Memphis Grizzlies

It’s been a frustrating off-season for Michael Beasley, the former no.2 overall pick didn’t garner much interest from NBA teams. But, the Spurs, Lakers and Grizzlies did bring him in for workouts.

With training camp just a few days away, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports is reporting that Beasley has reached an agreement with the Memphis Grizzlies on a non-guaranteed contract. Beasley will be with the Grizzlies in training camp and will be vying to get a spot on the roster for the 2014-15 season.

Free-agent forward Michael Beasley has agreed to join the Memphis Grizzlies in training camp on a non-guaranteed contract, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Beasley spent several days working out for the Grizzlies this week and chose that offer because of an opportunity to make the roster as a backup power forward.

Beasley spent several weeks working out for teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs.
