Hip-hop mogul Master P had short stints with the Charlotte Hornets and Toronto Raptors back in 1999 so when he talks hoops, people listen. This guy knows the game, he’s mentored Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan since seventh grade and is one of the most respected basketball minds in hip-hop.
During a tour of his No Limit offices with ThisIs50, Miller told a story about the time Michael Jordan wouldn’t let his son Romeo wear his dad’s “P.Miller” sneakers at his camp. Romeo called his dad and told him that he had to wear Jordan’s and that led to Master P flying down to the camp the next day and getting into an argument with MJ.
Hit the 6:00 minute mark to hear Miller’s story.
He says that he teamed up with Gilbert Arenas and Ron Artest to play MJ and his team of NBA players in a pickup game to decide which shoes his son would wear. In the video above Miller tells that his team won the game.
