Lance Stephenson will be making his NBA comeback with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 26-year-old started the season with the Pelicans, but was waived after an ACL injury sidelined him just six games into his stint with the team.
It was just four years ago when Lance looked like one of brightest young stars in the NBA as he did it all for a Pacers team that challenged the powerful Heat teams. However, a disastrous stint in Charlotte rubbed people the wrong way about his alreay shaky personality.
Lance is expected to fill the void for Zach LaVine who just tore his ACL this past week. Via The Vertical:
Free-agent guard Lance Stephenson plans to sign a 10-day contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves, league sources told The Vertical.
Stephenson is expected to provide depth and playmaking to a Timberwolves backcourt that lost guard Zach LaVine for the remainder of the season because of a torn ACL.
