24/7-365. Basketball Lives Here.
In what was possibly the greatest WNBA game in history, the Los Angeles Sparks led by Candace Parker defeated the Minnesota Lynx 77-76 in a Game 5 thriller to win the 2016 WNBA Championship.
In a back and forth game, the Sparks came out on top as Nneka Ogwumike grabbed an offensive rebound and hit a falling jumper with 3.1 seconds to go in the game to give the Sparks the 77-76 lead which would ultimately bring the Sparks their third WNBA Championship. Parker was named Finals MVP after posting 28 points and 12 rebounds.
The highlight of the postgame was when an emotional Candance dedicated that performance and victory to her college coach who passed away earlier this year, the legendary Pat Summitt.
