Kyrie Irving was back in the lineup for the Cavs on Sunday night after being sidelined for six months due to a broken kneecap he suffered in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
In 17 minutes of action Irving finished with 12 points and 4 assists. He started off slow, missing his first five shots but got himself going in the third quarter and helped the Cavs rout the Sixers.
Following the game Cavs head coach David Blatt revealed that they will be easing Irving back into the rotation and gradually extending his minutes.
Though he didn’t and won’t be putting up his usual numbers right away, it’s just great to see one of the NBA’s biggest stars healthy and back on the court.
