This past month there have been some crazy reports suggesting that Kobe Bryant could join the Carmelo Anthony and possibly Kevin Durant in New York next season.
This past week Phil Jackson added to more fuel to the fire by predicting that Kobe will play another season but feels that it won’t be for the Lakers.
Bryant made his first public appearance in a long time at Lakers media day and basically shot down all rumours of him possibly leaving the Lakers when he becomes a free agent next summer.
The Mamba also added that he genuinely doesn’t know if this is his last season or not. Via Yahoo Sports!:
“A lot of players want to go to different teams or contend to win championships,” Bryant told Yahoo Sports at the conclusion of the Lakers’ media day on Monday. “I’m a Laker, man. I’m a Laker for better or worse.”
“I’m a Laker, man. How many times do I have to say that?” Bryant said “Dude, I bleed purple and gold.”
