The Thunder won a big Game 3 over the weekend to take a 3-1 series lead over the Mavs, but their two star players received some thick fines for their actions in Dallas.
Kevin Durant has been fined $15,000 for his flagrant foul on Justin Anderson but avoided a suspension. Durant’s teammate Russell Westbrook has been fined $25,000 for cussing out a fan courtside.
The Thunder will have a chance to close this series out tonight in OKC. Via NBA.com:
Westbrook has been fined $25,000 for directing inappropriate language toward a fan during the Thunder’s 119-108 win over the Dallas Mavericks on April 23 at American Airlines Center.
Durant has been fined $15,000 for his Flagrant 2 foul on the Mavericks’ Justin Anderson with 50.6 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter of the same game.
