The Cavs and JR Smith have finally reached an agreement. According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the deal is worth four years and $57 million. Smith originally wanted about $15 million per year and the Cavs wanted to pay him somewhere between the $10-11 million range. This deal will pay the veteran guard about $14 million per year, but according to reports not all of it is guaranteed. Smith has a career average of 13 points per game, which includes two 3-pointers made per night. He played a big role in the Cavs 2016 NBA Championship. Last month his teammate Tristan Thompson even said that the Cavs cannot not repeat without Smith.
