The post-Kobe era kicked off in Los Angeles on Wednesday night as the Lakers took on the Rockets in what was an exciting game.
The young Lakers backcourt of D’Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson showcased their much-improved games combining for 45 points to lead the Lakers to a 120-114 win over Houston. The Rockets were led by James Harden who posted a monstrous stat line with 38 points, 17 assists and 8 rebounds, but the Lakers broke down their former coaches defense all night, helping earn their new coach Luke Walton his first win as an NBA coach.
