Houston Rockets Spoil Melo’s Big Night + Controversial Ending in NY!

Carmelo Anthony was on fire last night, the defending scoring champion went off for 45 points against the Rockets,  but it wasn’t enough. The Rockets spoiled Melos big night, James Harden scored 36 points and had 9 rebounds and Jeremy Lin had another great game(21 poins), back where it all started, Madison Square Garden.

Anthony could not be stopped by anyone one the floor, but as time was winding down and the Knicks needed a three to tie, Houston chose to foul Carmelo who hit a wild three right at the whistle, it would have tied the game and given Melo his 48th point in the game, but the officials didn’t give Melo the continuation and the Rockets escaped with a win.

Melo was not happy with the officiating this game, James Harden went to the line 18 times, after the game Melo was frustrated:

“You look at that and you see the way that some guys get their calls; me, I got to get cut, you’ve got to see blood for me to get a call down there,” Anthony said after the Knicks’ loss. “That’s where the frustration comes from.”

“We didn’t put him on the line. They put him on the line,” Anthony said. “… Harden is a tough guy to guard, especially when they’re calling the game the way that they called it tonight. Tough thing to guard out there.”
