The first annual Ball Don’t Stop Battle At The Border took place inside the Langley Events Centre in British Columbia this past weekend, and man was it epic. You saw what Jamal Crawford did in this one, and you saw Tre Simmons shoot the lights out, but the game was about more than just those two Washington State legends.
Led by Joel Friesen, Emerson Murray and Joey Haywood, the Vancouver All-Stars put on a show of their own while protecting their turf. The game was tied at 91 going into the fourth and With less than four minutes left in the game Vancouver led by 4 points. The crowd at the LEC was on fire all night, and the play of their hometown boys gave them even more reason to be excited. Seattle eventually clamped down defensively and pulled away for a 122-116 victory, but everyone that was involved in this historic game was a winner.
