Harrison Barnes: OKC Thunder Were Best Team In 2016 NBA Playoffs

The 2016 Thunder-Warriors Western Conference Finals was a series for the ages. The Thunder had the 73-9 Warriors down 3-1, before the Dubs came firing back with incredible shot after incredible shot from Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry to make a historic comeback, stunning the Thunder and getting to the NBA Finals where they went onto blow a 3-1 lead of their own to LeBron James and the Cavs. That OKC team looked scary through the first four games of that series. The Thunder had it all that year with the unstoppable duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, the perfect role players and beastly rim protection/hustle in Steven Adams and company. Harrison Barnes, who is now with the Mavs, joined Uninterrupted’s Road Trippin’ podcast and echoed what former teammate Andre Iguodala said on Breakfast Club last year, stating that the Thunder were actually the best team in the playoffs that year.

“I don’t mean this in any type of offense to RJ or anything like that, but my opinion is that OKC was probably the best team in the playoffs that year.

“I mean they were rollin’. We didn’t have an answer for them. If Klay doesn’t have that crazy Game 6, they’re going to the Finals.

“That team, the way they were built—rebounding, scoring, they were doing it all.”
