Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant Lead NBA All-Star Voting For East and West
If the NBA All-Star Game was this weekend the matchup would be headlined by Team Giannis and Team Durant. The first return of voting results came in yesterday and the Greek Freak leads the East with 836,416 votes, while Durant leads the West with 767,402 votes. The anticipated matchup when the new format was revealed last year was either LeBron vs Durant or Curry, but it looks like Giannis has all of Greece behind him and that his earned him more votes than James for front court players in the East. Kyrie Irving and DeMar DeRozan lead the East guards and the West backcourt leaders at the moment are Stephen Curry and James Harden. Check out the full results from the first returns below.
