The 2014-15 season was not a fun one for Thunder forward Kevin Durant. The 2014 MVP played in just 27 games due to foot problems and was ruled out for the remainder of the season in March.
When Durant did lace up for the Thunder last season it was mainly in the KD6 rather than his new signature sneaker at the time, the KD7. Apparently there were some issues with the sneaker and the way it feet with Durant’s ongoing foot problems. This would obviously mean that Nike would have to go back to the lab and design a completely new shoe when it came time to work on the KD 8.
Durant revealed the KD 8 on his Twitter and several new photos of the sneaker which is expected to drop this summer appeared online.
