#FBF – Ray Allen Drops 51 Points on Bulls In Game 6 Thriller (2009)

This weeks #FBF performance is a tribute to newly retired legend, Ray Allen. On April.30, 2009, Jesus Shuttlesworth turned in one of the greatest games of his career as he went off for 9 3-pointers en route to 51 points against the Bulls in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Quarter-Finals.

This series saw a rookie Derrick Rose led Bulls squad push the KG-less Celtics to the absolute limit. Heading into G6, three games in the series had already been decided in OT. The fans at the United Center were treated to a true classic as Allen’s heroics helped the Celtics push a resilient Bulls squad into three overtimes. The 34-year-old hit some insanely tough shots in this one and had Chicago buzzing. Thought the 51 points weren’t enough to put the Bulls away, this performance deserves major recognition simply because it’s the greatest shooter of all-time doing what he does best in the most intense of circumstances.
