Elton Brand Officially Retires From the NBA


    Elton Brand has officially announced his retirement from the NBA, again. Just nine months ago, Brand made a comeback with the Sixers, stating that he wanted to give back to the game and be a voice in the locker room. However, at 37-years-old, Brand’s heart seems to be telling him to hang up the kicks for good.

    Check out his announcement at the Sixers practice earlier today. The young Sixers gathered around Brand as he announced his retirement and showed their respect. The Bulls selected the 6-foot-8, 265 pound forward with No.1 pick in the 1999 NBA Draft, he went onto win the Rookie of the Year award that season. He went onto play 17-years in the league, averaging 15.9 points and 8.5 rebounds per game for his career.
