It felt like the 2014-15 season last night as Steph Curry’s Warriors took on James Harden’s Rockets.
But, it was also a realization of how far the Warriors and Steph have come since last season.
A year ago, Harden and Curry were in one of the tightest MVP races in recent memory and though Steph came out on top, the players would go onto vote for Harden as the MVP of the league at the Players Awards.
Steph has been playing with a chip on his shoulder since the beginning of the 2015-16 season. Nobody thought the Warriors would be at the top of the league again and nobody expected Steph to have locked up his second MVP by this point.
That being said, Harden is still one of the best players in the world and had a great duel with his nemesis last night. Curry finished with 35 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists, while Harden put up 35 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
The Rockets actually put up a great fight, but the Warriors went onto win their 42nd straight home game.
