In what could potentially have been his final game in Houston, Kobe Bryant turned in a vintage performance in an exciting duel with James Harden.
Bryant poured in 25 points, grabbed 6 boards and dished out 7 assists in the Lakers divesting 126-97 loss to the Rockets. The crowd chanted Kobe’s named and former Rockets players Tracy McGrady and Steve Francis sat court-side and talked with the man that dominated their generation more than anyone.
James Harden dropped 30 points of his own in a battle with one of his basketball idols. Following the game Bryant also buried his beef with Dwight Howard as the two hugged it out.
During his postgame sit-down, Kobe stated that he’s getting into a rhythm and hopes that the lifting and running he has been doing will allow him to play at a higher level.
