Kevin Durant’s second matchup against his former team and sidekick Russell Westbrook had it all. The former duo put on a show at Oracle Arena, led by Durant, who was once again on a mission against his former squad. KD had what was arguably his best game of his 2016-17 season as he put up 40 points on an amazing 13-of-16 from the field (82%), also adding 12 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the Warriors to a 121-100 win.
Westbrook had a rough game against the Warriors earlier in the season, but he was his dominant self in this one. Playing with his signature rage, Westbrook put up 27 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists. It was his 21st triple-double of the season. He also had an interesting exchange with KD during the third quarter (while Steph Curry high-fiver himself) and told media after the game that he’d get Zaza Pachulia back for roughing him up.
