Derrick Rose is set to have surgery on Wednesday after suffering a left orbital fracture during the Bulls first team practice on Tuesday.
The former MVP took an elbow to the face and was taken to a medical centre in Chicago were it was determined that he will need surgery.
Rose has played in just 100 games in the past three years. His return date will be determined after the surgery. Via Yahoo Sports!:
A timetable for Rose’s return will be determined after the surgery, which is scheduled for Wednesday, the Bulls said.
Rose was struck in the face by an elbow during practice and taken by the Bulls’ medical staff to Rush University Medical Center in Chicago for tests, which revealed the need for surgery.
