DeMarcus Cousins is coming off a season in which he was arguably the best big man in the game averaging 24.1 points, 12.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. This offseason it looks like Boogie has extended his range and now he’s looking to come back with another beastly season.
Cousins says he wants to be the best player in the world and that the MVP award is his to “grab”. His new teammate Rajon Rondo says he expects nothing less than an MVP type season from the 24-year-old. Via Bleacher Report:
“Reachable, man?” Cousins told Bleacher Report, his voice rising high. “It’s mine to grab.”
“It’s going to take a full team effort,” Cousins said. “I’ll try to play at a high level and bring my team along with me.”
New teammate Rajon Rondo floated the same idea during Kings media day, telling reporters: “Not to put any pressure on him, but I expect nothing less but MVP.”
