UPDATE: DeMar DeRozan is out indefinitely with a torn tendon in his upper thigh/groin. Many reports suggest that he could be out at least four weeks with this injury.

Via The Star:

DeMar DeRozan, as durable a player as the franchise has ever employed, is out indefinitely with a torn tendon in his upper left thigh/groin area — the adductor longus — bringing about a true test of the team’s depth and the character of his healthy teammates.

DeRozan was injured in the third quarter of Friday’s loss to the Dallas Mavericks and team officials said Saturday there was no timetable for his return to even rudimentary basketball activity.

DeMar DeRozan took a scary fall on Friday night in the third quarter of the Raptors 106-102 loss to the Mavericks. DeRozan fell awkwardly in what appeared to be a knee or ankle injury, however, it was announced during the game that he would not return due to a strained groin.

Luckily he won’t be out too long.
