24/7-365. Basketball Lives Here.
At the end of one of the craziest NBA free agency days in recent memory, DeAndre Jordan officially re-signed with the Los Angeles Clippers on a four-year, $88 million deal.
After having a last minute change of heart Jordan spent the day locked in his home with Clippers teammates Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, as well as team owner Steve Ballmer and head coach Doc Rivers. The Clippers persuaded him to stay with the team and made sure they didn’t leave the house till after midnight (earliest time Jordan could sign the contract).
This obviously does not sit well with the Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks who were spurned hard. Jordan is going to get a lot of heat for this, but something tells us the Clippers regime prepared him for the storm that is to come.
The only thing he can do now is play the best basketball of his life.
