D’Angelo Russell Hits Game-Winner, Gets Very Emotional In Postgame Interview

On Sunday morning, Lakers point guard D’Angelo Russell learned that his grandmother had passed away. The 21-year-old considered not playing in their game that night against the Timberwolves, but ended up lacing up with a heavy heart. With the game on the line, the ball somehow ended up in Russell’s hands in a wild possession, his three-pointer bounced on the rim before falling through the net at the buzzer.

Game-winner. Staples goes crazy. Russell would go up into the stands to share a moment with his family.

After the game, the youngster got very emotional in his postgame interview and praised God for giving him such a powerful moment on such an emotional day. Check it out below.
