The awkwardness in Cleveland has finally come to an end as Tristan Thompson has accepted a five-year, $82 million deal from the Cleveland Cavaliers.
After holding out for the entire offseason and basically telling the Cavs he’d leave next summer if he didn’t get what he wanted, Thompson’s reps pretty much accepted the Cavs original offer.
Thompson reps kept pushing story client would sit year w/o max deal. Cavs, NBA never bought it. In end, agents caved, accepted lower deal.
