24/7-365. Basketball Lives Here.
It’s a wrap. Our Ball Don’t Stop squad has won the 2015 Seattle Pro Am Championship!
Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas led the way for us in the championship game against SMCU posting 24 points, 14 assists and 9 rebounds. IT was coming off an epic performance against the Drew League on Friday night and he wanted this game just as bad. Check the highlights out below.
After going a perfect 7-0 in the regular season, we were the favourites heading into the postseason. The best apart about this season was that we won it as a team. Isaiah wasn’t the only one putting in work in the finale. Dominique Williams scored 20 points and dished out 5 assists in the championship game, Marcus Tibbs was in attack mode all game finishing with 22 points.
SMCU was led by Washington legend Tre Simmons who had 25 points and 10 rebounds. Arizona State commit Sam Cunliffe hit some big shots and threw down a sick windmill for SMCU who stayed in the game most of the way but couldn’t make the run they needed losing the game 103-93.
What a season it was at the Pro Am. The Seattle team made a major statement by defeating the Drew League on Friday night taking the name of the league to new heights. Isaiah Thomas was an absolute joy to watch this season and we know he’s about to go off for a career year with the Celtics in 2015-16.
A huge thanks goes out to the Seattle Pro Am and Jamal Crawford for everything they do for their community, providing the Northwest with some of the best summer basketball in the country and for having our squad in their prestigious league.
It is truly an honor to be crowned champions of the Seattle Pro Am.
We can’t wait till 2016!
