Anthony Davis To Sit Out All-Star Game Due To Shoulder Injury

The 2015 NBA All-Star Game is losing it’s star power day by day. The latest big name to withdraw from the game is Pelicans big man Anthony Davis who suffered a shoulder injury when he took this scary fall against the Bulls this past weekend.

Davis was the starting forward for the Western Conference All-Stars which also lost Kobe Bryant and Blake Griffin due to injury. This is obviously a big blow for the NBA as Davis is one of the leagues best players this season and expected to be one of the faces of the NBA going forward in his career.

After a summer spent with Team USA, Davis has took his game to new heights this season. The 21-year old MVP candidate is considered by many a top three player in the world.

AD is averaging 24.5 points, 10.3 rebounds and a league high 2.7 blocks per game. He would have been fun to watch in the All-Star Game. Via

“After careful thought and consideration, I’ve decided I will not be participating in this year’s NBA All-Star competitions. I want to thank the fans for voting me into the All-Star game and I am sorry I will not be able to play.

While I’m disappointed that I won’t be able to compete this weekend, I’m still very excited about the opportunity to be a part of the All-Star events in New York and celebrate our game with some of the NBA’s greatest figures.

“More than anything, I am anxious to get healthy and back on the court with my teammates after the All-Star break.”

At this time it seems like Expression Engine is the top blogging platform out there right now. (from what I’ve read) Is that what you’re using on your blog?|
